The bubbly classic with hints of vanilla and molasses you know and love, donned with a classic Zoo animal, the brown bear! Even sweeter, a portion of every sale of Root Bear goes toward the Minnesota Zoo Foundation and benefits the Minnesota Zoo's mission.

On campus, you'll find cans for purchase and Root Bear Floats at the Farmhouse. Plus, find it in 4-packs or single cans at the locations below or for sale at the Northern Soda taproom.

Will I become a Friend of the Minnesota Zoo Foundation with a donation of $300+?

Donors giving $300 or more annually qualify to become a Friend of the Minnesota Zoo Foundation. By committing to a full year of automatic recurring donations of $25/month or more, you will receive the benefits of membership after your first transaction. If you cancel your monthly giving or your payment stops working, we reserve the right to cancel your membership. If you're renewing your support, we'll automatically renew your membership and send you updated membership cards.

What are the benefits of becoming a Friend of the Minnesota Zoo Foundation?

When will my Friend of the Minnesota Zoo Foundation benefits be activated?

We are working very hard to process donations and activate Friend of the Minnesota Zoo benefits as quickly as we are able. Please allow our staff up to 10 business days to process your donation and activate your membership. If you are making plans to visit the Zoo, please reach out to us and we can ensure your membership is active on your member record, which will be required in order to access member pricing.

The Minnesota Zoo Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 51-0147653). Upon successful completion of your donation, we'll send you an email receipt for your official records acknowledging you did not receive any goods or services in exchange for your donation.

The Minnesota Zoo Foundation is committed to responsible financial management and stewardship of gifts. The Board of Trustees and staff work together to ensure that all financial matters are addressed with care and integrity.
