Sponsor an Amur Tiger
Amur tigers have been making our hearts roar since the Zoo’s opening in 1978. The largest of all cats, the Amur tiger is a top predator of far eastern Asia. With thick fur and padded paws, this northern cat is well protected against the bone-chilling cold and icy winds of winter. However, due to poaching, loss of prey, habitat, and disease, Amur tigers are endangered, with an estimated population of only 500 left in the wild.
You can help make a difference for animals like Amur tigers with an animal sponsorship from the Minnesota Zoo Foundation. From groundbreaking conservation work to extraordinary animal care, your animal sponsorship helps the Minnesota Zoo Foundation advance the Zoo’s initiatives, making a difference for wildlife locally and around the world.
